Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Influx Studios (“Influx Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have, including rights under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA).
1. Who We Are
Influx Studios, based in the Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area, is the business responsible for (the “controller” of) the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected] or 616.613.6773.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: first and last name, company (optional), email, phone (optional) and your message.
- Quote request forms: name, email, phone, company, the service you’re interested in, your project details, timeline and budget range.
- Estimate calculator: your contact details, the options you choose and your estimate number, so you can reload and change a saved estimate later (you need both the number and your email to load it).
- Client intake forms: business details, content and project information you provide, and any share links you send us to your files.
- Influx Exclusives mailing list: your name, email, and the date and place you gave us permission to email you.
- Phone, email and projects: whatever you share with us when you contact us or hire us, plus billing and project records.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. We use this only to deliver the site, keep it secure and stop spam. Our forms also use a hidden spam trap and short-term, IP-based rate limiting.
Cookies and analytics
See section 9. Analytics cookies are used only if you say yes.
We do not collect “sensitive personal information” (such as government ID numbers, financial account logins, health data or precise location) through this website, and we ask you not to send it through our forms.
3. How We Use Information and Our Legal Bases (GDPR)
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your questions, preparing quotes and estimates, and providing the services you hire us for | Taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing our contract with you |
| Sending Influx Exclusives sales, discounts and giveaway emails | Your consent (you can withdraw it anytime) |
| Website analytics cookies | Your consent (you can withdraw it anytime) |
| Keeping the site secure, preventing spam and abuse, and improving our services | Our legitimate interests in running a safe, working business |
| Keeping invoices, tax and business records | Legal obligation |
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. We Don’t Sell or Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
5. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only with service providers (“processors”) that help us run our business, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us:
- Abacus.AI: website hosting, database and delivery of form notification emails.
- Amazon Web Services: file storage for website images.
- Google Analytics: website usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Trusted print partners: only the artwork and delivery details needed to complete a print order you place with us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business. Our website fonts are hosted on our own servers, so loading a page does not send your information to a font provider.
6. International Transfers
We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the U.S. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your information is transferred to the U.S. so we can respond to you and provide our services. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers’ participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
7. How Long We Keep Information
- Inquiries, quote requests and estimates that don’t become projects: up to 3 years after our last contact with you, so we can follow up and reload saved estimates.
- Client project, billing and tax records: up to 7 years after the project ends, to meet tax and accounting obligations.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a short record that you opted out, so we don’t email you again.
- Server and security logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, then deleted.
- Your cookie choice: 180 days, then we ask again.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see section 10).
8. How We Protect Information
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and submitted information is stored with a secure hosting provider with access limited to authorized people. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing but essential cookies is set until you choose, and the “Accept” and “Reject” buttons are equally easy to use. You can change your mind anytime with the button below or the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of every page.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| influx_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie choice | 180 days |
| _ga, _ga_<ID> | Analytics (only with consent) | Google Analytics: counts visits and pages viewed, with IP anonymization and no advertising features | Up to 2 years |
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and keep analytics cookies off. We don’t respond to the older “Do Not Track” signal because there is no common standard for it, but GPC covers the same choice.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Everyone
No matter where you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or take you off our mailing list.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal information, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); commercial information (services you asked about or bought); professional information (company name and business details); and internet activity (pages viewed, only with analytics consent). We collect it directly from you and from your device, use it for the business purposes in section 3, and disclose it only to the service providers in section 5. We do not sell or share it, and we do not use sensitive personal information.
You have the right to know what we collect and how we use it, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we don’t do either, but you can still tell us), and to limit use of sensitive information (we don’t collect any). We will not discriminate against you for using any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request,” or call 616.613.6773. Tell us what you’d like us to do. To protect you, we’ll confirm your identity by matching the email or phone number you used with us before acting. You can use an authorized agent; we’ll ask for your signed permission and may verify your identity directly. We’ll respond within 30 days under the GDPR and within 45 days under the CCPA, and we’ll tell you if we need more time as the law allows.
11. Email Communications
We send Influx Exclusives emails only to people who checked the box to receive them. You can unsubscribe anytime by replying to any of our emails, using the unsubscribe link when one is included, or contacting us. We honor requests within 10 business days. We may still contact you about active projects or services you asked for.
12. Children’s Privacy
This website is meant for businesses, organizations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to Other Websites
Our site may link to client websites or other third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and we’ll highlight important changes on the website. Please also review our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
